Compensation Range:  $85,000 to $150,000

A Site Superintendent is detail oriented, tech savvy and dynamic. The Site Superintendent will be onsite everyday managing active commercial construction projects in collaboration with Project Managers. Projects range in size from small remodels to large tenant improvements. Projects are located in San Francisco, the East Bay and the South Bay. Travel within the Bay Area is required.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Site Superintendent will plan and oversee commercial construction projects, with a focus on delivering high quality projects and great service to our clients.

●      Manage construction site daily with focus on jobsite safety and cleanliness

●      Updates, confirms and distributes the 3-week lookahead schedule

●      Manages and oversees all subcontractor relationships (coordination, communication & problem solving)

●      Ensures quality control, quality assurance and that industry standards are maintained

●      Strong verbal and written communication skills to make sure the entire project team is updated on the status of the project each week

●      Follows Cookline process during construction for RFI's, submittals, change orders, etc

●      Communicate effectively with external (clients) and internal (leadership team) stakeholders on project status, RFIs, submittals and change orders

●      Plans ahead to prevent problems and mitigate risk

●      Effective management of subcontractors at punch list to minimize time onsite and additional costs after substantial completion

●      Responsible for understanding project budget and manages the use of budgeted cost codes for supplies and materials and general conditions while maintaining project financial goals

●      Order and track tools, materials and equipment as needed to deliver the project

●      Prepares the site to pass required inspections in order to obtain final permit signoff

●      Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities and corporate events.

 

Requirements

●      A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience working in commercial construction management

●      Excellent knowledge of construction management processes

●      Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and methods

●      Vehicle (gas reimbursement available) and ability to travel to job sites across the Bay Area

●      Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field preferred

●      Desirable: love of food and eating at great restaurants, Spanish language
