Flour + Water Hospitality Group brought us on board once again - this time to help launch the very first location of their newest concept: Flour + Water Pizza Shop, located in the heart of San Francisco’s new and fast-growing Mission Rock neighborhood, just steps from Oracle Park. This space is the debut for what we hope will be many more locations to come, and it was a pleasure, as always, to help bring their vision to life alongside longtime collaborator Knowles Architect.
The scope was a full interior buildout combining dine-in and retail areas with a hardworking back of house. We installed new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems throughout, and constructed a sleek to-go window inset into the curtain wall - no small feat given the structural coordination involved!
Guests are welcomed into a polished, vibrant dining room featuring rich tile details (including custom Artaic mosaic tile), polished concrete floors, and a warm bench seating nook with Richlite surfaces. The back of house includes robust custom stainless steel fabrication and an ansul-equipped hood system for the pizza kitchen. We also incorporated a lime-washed soffit mural, Caesarstone counters, updated restrooms, thoughtful storage solutions, and exterior signage that brings the brand to the street.
We’ve worked with the Flour + Water team on many projects over the years, and we’re proud to be part of this exciting next chapter. This one’s got all the ingredients for a standout neighborhood spot - and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
