Makeover of another beloved San Francisco culinary landmark: check! We and Boor Projects were tasked with transforming Chef Melissa Perello’s original restaurant Frances to accompany her new prix-fixe menu format. Along with refreshing her kitchen (New equipment! New epoxy floor and tile!), in the dining room we installed new white oak flooring, built a new alcove, provided new paint, custom built wood shelving, and installed a new beautifully lit ceiling. The ceiling itself was the biggest challenge of the project due to the many existing layers we had to work through. But the project was a true success, and we’re thrilled with the results.
