We partnered with Flour + Water Hospitality Group partnered once again, alongside longtime collaborator Knowles Architect and developer Holland Partner Group, to bring the beloved Pizza Shop concept across the Bay to Oakland - the first location outside San Francisco and the seventh project we’ve completed together. Located within a new mixed-use development on 24th Street in Uptown, the space delivers the same energetic, design-forward experience the brand is known for, while adapting to a new neighborhood context.
The project was a full ground-floor tenant improvement transforming a warm shell into a vibrant quick-service restaurant with dine-in seating and a highly efficient production kitchen. Scope included new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems throughout, a new hood and ventilation package, walk-in refrigeration, polished concrete flooring, custom counters, and detailed tile installations that reinforce the brand’s identity. The open kitchen layout highlights the pizza-making process, while durable materials and thoughtful detailing support the pace of high-volume service.
The finished space balances warmth and functionality - an inviting dining environment paired with a robust back-of-house built for performance. Since opening, the restaurant has quickly become a lively neighborhood destination, a reflection of both the strength of the concept and the collaborative effort behind bringing it to life.
